The ASCO Special Article by Jacobson et al, entitled, “American Society of Clinical Oncology/Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy Administration Safety Standards” (J Clin Oncol 10.1200/JCO.2009.25.1264), was published online September 28, 2009, with an error.
In Table 4, part 2C referred to a physician examination, whereas it should have been a physical examination, as follows:
“Complete medical history and physical examination that includes, at minimum, height, weight, and assessment of organ-specific function as appropriate for the planned regimen”
This has been corrected as of October 19, 2009. The authors apologize to the readers for the mistake.
